📋 Description

• Provide adult care services in clients’ homes according to each client’s plan of care • Aid with activities of daily living • Assist with shopping, errands, and transportation • Pick up prescriptions and assist with telehealth visits • Perform light housekeeping • Prepare meals • Provide companionship and build strong client relationships • Escort clients • Provide personal care, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and feeding • Communicate professionally with families and the care team • Help clients live as pleasantly and independently as possible

🎯 Requirements

• High school graduate/GED preferred • Six months of experience as a Personal Attendant preferred but not required • Competence to provide personal assistance services, demonstrated by experience or testing • Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, patience, empathy, and integrity • Reliable transportation • Valid and current driver’s license and auto liability insurance if driving • Ability to lift, transfer, and support clients who may be overweight or disabled • Ability to move about in the home and stand for prolonged periods • Ability to remain calm and courteous in stressful situations • Ability to use Standard Precautions when exposed to infections, blood, and/or bodily fluids • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients when required • Ability to use office equipment and perform bending and standing • Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds continuously • Ability to grasp, pull, push, carry, and manipulate objects • Clear face-to-face and telephone communication skills • Ability to hear and correctly receive verbal instructions • Ability to concentrate on fine details with frequent interruptions • Ability to understand, remember, and complete verbal and written tasks • Excellent computer software skills • Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, or similar software • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality • Ability to work independently and with others while maintaining a courteous and positive attitude
