📋 Description

• Provide services to maintain, strengthen, and safeguard clients in their own home environment • Follow each client’s specified plan of care • Assist with activities of daily living • Assist with shopping, errands, and transportation • Pick up prescriptions and assist with telehealth visits • Perform light housekeeping • Prepare meals • Provide companionship and build lasting client relationships • Escort clients • Provide personal care, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and feeding • Communicate professionally with families and the care team • Help clients live as pleasantly and independently as possible

🎯 Requirements

• High school graduate/GED preferred (optional) • Six months of experience as a Personal Attendant preferred but not required • Competent to provide personal assistance services, demonstrated by experience or testing • Strong interpersonal skills • Compassionate attitude, patience, empathy, and integrity • Reliable transportation • Valid and current driver’s license and auto liability insurance if driving; valid driver’s license and proof of current auto liability insurance required • Ability to lift, transfer, and support clients who may be overweight or disabled • Ability to move about in the home and stand for prolonged periods • Ability to remain calm and courteous in stressful situations • Ability to use Standard Precautions around possible infections, blood, and bodily fluids • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients when required • Ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone • Ability to hear and correctly receive verbal instructions • Ability to concentrate on fine detail despite interruptions • Ability to understand, remember, and perform verbal and written tasks • Excellent computer software skills • Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, or similar software required • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality • Ability to work independently and with others while maintaining a courteous, positive attitude
