📋 Description

• Provide services in clients’ homes to maintain, strengthen, and safeguard their well-being according to each client’s care plan • Assist with activities of daily living • Assist with shopping, errands, and transportation • Pick up prescriptions and assist with telehealth visits • Perform light housekeeping • Prepare meals • Provide companionship and build lasting relationships with clients • Escort clients • Provide personal care, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and feeding • Follow the plan of care • Communicate professionally with families and the care team • Tend to clients’ daily needs while promoting independence and quality of life

🎯 Requirements

• High school graduate/GED preferred (not required) • Six months of Personal Attendant experience preferred but not required • Competent to provide personal assistance services, demonstrated by experience or testing • Strong interpersonal skills • Compassionate attitude, patience, empathy, and integrity • Reliable transportation • Valid and current driver’s license and auto liability insurance if driving; valid driver’s license and current auto liability insurance must be maintained • Ability to lift, transfer, and support clients who may be overweight or disabled • Ability to move about in the home and stand for prolonged periods • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients when required • Ability to work under stressful conditions and meet deadlines • Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds continuously • Ability to grasp, pull, push, carry, and manipulate objects • Ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone • Ability to hear and receive verbal instructions correctly • Ability to concentrate on fine detail despite interruptions • Ability to understand and remember verbal and written tasks • Excellent computer software skills • Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, or similar software required; proficient knowledge preferred • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision, exercise sound professional judgment, and maintain confidentiality • Ability to work independently and with others while maintaining a courteous and positive attitude
