📋 Description

• Provide services that maintain, strengthen, and safeguard clients in their own home environment • Follow the specified plan of care for each client • Aid with activities of daily living • Assist with shopping, errands, and transportation • Pick up prescriptions and assist with telehealth visits • Perform light housekeeping • Prepare meals • Provide companionship and build lasting relationships with clients • Escort clients • Provide personal care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and feeding • Communicate professionally with families and the care team • Work in clients' homes under varying conditions and temperatures • Meet deadlines and agency needs while remaining calm and courteous

🎯 Requirements

• High school graduate/GED preferred • Six months of experience working as a Personal Attendant preferred but not required • Competence to provide personal assistance services as demonstrated by experience or testing • Strong interpersonal skills • Compassionate attitude, patience, empathy, and integrity • Reliable transportation • Valid and current driver's license and auto liability insurance if driving • Ability to lift, transfer, and support clients who may be overweight or disabled • Ability to move about in the home and stand for prolonged periods • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and courteously • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients when required • Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds continuously • Ability to grasp, pull, push, carry, and manipulate objects • Clear face-to-face and telephone communication skills • Ability to hear and receive verbal instructions correctly • Ability to concentrate on fine detail with frequent interruption • Ability to understand and remember verbal and written tasks and assignments • Excellent computer software skills • Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, or similar software required • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality • Ability to work independently and with others while maintaining a courteous and positive attitude
