📋 Description

• Provide services that maintain, strengthen, and safeguard clients in their own home environment according to each client's plan of care • Assist with activities of daily living • Assist with shopping, errands, and transportation • Pick up prescriptions and assist with telehealth visits • Perform light housekeeping • Prepare meals • Provide companionship and build lasting client relationships • Escort clients • Provide personal care, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and feeding • Follow the plan of care • Communicate professionally with families and the care team • Help clients live as pleasantly and independently as possible

🎯 Requirements

• High school graduate/GED preferred (not required) • Six months of experience as a Personal Attendant preferred but not required • Must be competent to provide personal assistance services, demonstrated by experience or testing • Strong interpersonal skills • Compassionate attitude, patience, empathy, and integrity • Reliable transportation • Valid and current driver's license and auto liability insurance if driving; valid driver's license and proof of current auto liability insurance must be maintained • Ability to lift, transfer, and support clients who may be overweight or disabled • Ability to move about in the home and stand for prolonged periods • Ability to remain calm and courteous in stressful situations • Ability to use Standard Precautions when exposed to infections, blood, and/or bodily fluids • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients when required • Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds continuously • Ability to grasp, pull, push, carry, and manipulate objects • Clear face-to-face and telephone communication skills • Ability to hear and receive verbal instructions correctly • Ability to concentrate on fine detail with frequent interruption • Ability to understand and remember verbal and written tasks and assignments • Excellent computer software skills • Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, or similar software required • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality • Ability to work independently and with others while maintaining a courteous and positive attitude
