📋 Description

• Establish and mature the FinOps operating model across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, AWS, Azure, and GCP • Implement cost governance standards across cloud and enterprise SaaS platforms • Partner with engineering and architecture teams on cost-aware design and migration decisions • Maintain FinOps playbooks, policies, and dashboards • Build spend-visibility dashboards by product, feature, tenant/client, and team • Produce and deliver cloud cost reports across business units and environments • Make cloud and AI billing data available in analytics and reporting tools with automated export to finance systems • Build unit economics for customers, operations, API requests, and AI token usage • Develop defensible multi-tenant cost-allocation logic • Identify and quantify cloud cost-optimization opportunities using cloud-native tools and Adaptive 6 • Manage Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, committed-use discounts, and SaaS contract utilization • Define spend alarms based on budgets and forecasts • Own anomaly investigations from detection through root-cause analysis and resolution • Build cloud and SaaS spend forecasts incorporating sales forecasts, product-roadmap initiatives, and migration waves • Deliver executive reporting on spend, trends, and realized savings • Support Finance-led chargeback and showback while owning cost-data quality • Own cloud tagging taxonomy and compliance, including standards, monitoring, and remediation • Support financial controls and audits with billing and subscription documentation • Administer and improve the FinOps tooling stack • Adopt AI tooling to automate reporting, anomaly triage, and optimization analysis • Conduct regular cost reviews with engineering, platform leads, and Finance • Collaborate with Procurement and Vendor Management on cloud and SaaS commercial agreements

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of related experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, or IT financial analysis • Hands-on experience with cloud cost reporting, allocation, and optimization in a large-scale enterprise environment • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • Deep familiarity with cost and usage data and SQL-based billing analysis, preferably on AWS • Strong exploratory data analysis skills • Experience supporting data center exit and cloud migration programs • Understanding of cloud migration financial impacts and hybrid cost models spanning on-prem, cloud infrastructure, and SaaS subscriptions • FinOps experience at a B2B SaaS company with multi-tenant architecture • Experience attributing shared infrastructure costs to customers or product features • Experience establishing tagging, chargeback/showback, and cost allocation models across cloud and SaaS ecosystems • Experience with BI tooling such as AWS QuickSight, Tableau, Looker, or similar • Strong spreadsheet skills and forecasting-model experience in Excel or Google Sheets • Knowledge of cloud billing, pricing models, and cost management tools • Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP savings mechanisms, including Savings Plans, Committed Use Discounts, Reserved Instances, and Spot Instances • Demonstrated ownership across forecasting, governance, and optimization • Experience with AI-assisted analysis or reporting workflows and familiarity tracking AI/LLM token usage and spend • Experience with cloud cost reporting, allocation, and optimization • Preferred: FinOps Foundation Practitioner or Professional certification • Preferred: AWS Cloud Practitioner or Associate-level certification • Preferred: SQL or scripting with Python or PowerShell for cloud billing data • Preferred: SaaS cost governance for enterprise platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Salesforce • Preferred: background in healthcare IT, health plan administration, financial services, or regulated industries • Preferred: experience standing up a FinOps practice or chargeback program from scratch • Preferred: familiarity with infrastructure-as-code concepts and IaC pipelines • Ability to work across multiple time zones in a hybrid or remote work environment • Candidates may be required to complete a pre-employment criminal background check
