📋 Description

• Own the accounting operations function and provide leadership on accounting initiatives • Manage monthly and annual close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, ad-hoc analyses, trial balance reviews, international consolidation, and financial statement preparation • Drive process improvements and accounting transformation using AI to reduce manual work, errors, and inefficiency • Ensure financial records and reports comply with company policies and GAAP, including accrual basis and ASC 606 • Analyze monthly operating results • Oversee payroll, billing, client invoicing, and collections • Lead annual financial and 401(k) audits • Coordinate annual tax returns and supporting workpapers • Ensure sales tax compliance • Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures • Enforce expense reimbursement policy • Oversee sales commission, bonus, and partner commission processes • Manage, recruit, and train accounting staff • Provide thought leadership on emerging accounting trends • Review accounting and financial management systems and implement necessary changes • Support annual budgeting, operating model analysis, and strategic financial decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience • Minimum 2 years in public accounting strongly preferred • Experience managing a small team of accounting professionals • Experience leveraging AI to improve accounting processes • Experience using NetSuite preferred • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables, and data analysis • Strong analytical skills • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Proven track record in accounting and desire to bring best practices to a rapidly changing environment • Strong relationship management and business partner/advisory skills • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required • CPA required
