📋 Description

• Report directly to the Production Manager • Utilize the online MedRelease record delivery website to assist management with pre-completion of certifications for records of varying nature • Follow HIPAA and PHI document-handling practices to protect patient-record integrity and support sound ROI practices • Use math to break down and understand medical billing records and explain them to requesters • Complete multiple daily responsibilities and surpass departmental goals with minimal supervision after training • Complete required company-sponsored and regulatory training programs • Report suspected unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of PHI to the Privacy Officer or Information Security team

🎯 Requirements

• Work from home Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM; these hours are non-negotiable • High school diploma or GED required • Effective communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills • Comfortable working at a computer and looking at a computer screen daily • Able to work independently after training, surpassing daily departmental goals with minimal supervision • Must be able to become a Notary Public in the State of Texas within the first 6 months of employment, but not within the first 90 days • Intermediate to advanced math skills for understanding medical billing records • Strong organizational skills • Ability to abide by corporate and departmental standards • Ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations and organizational privacy and security policies • Timely completion of required company-sponsored and regulatory training programs • Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills are a plus • Hospital/medical billing experience is a plus but not required
