📋 Description

• Copy-edit and proofread editorial content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, usage, clarity, consistency, and adherence to established style guidelines • Review copy efficiently and accurately while managing tight editorial deadlines • Collaborate with editors, writers, and fact-checkers to review edits, resolve questions, and maintain the integrity of each story • Check contract proofs carefully and make corrections or updates as needed • Identify errors, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve readability • Manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities while maintaining a high standard of editorial quality • Communicate edits and editorial recommendations clearly and constructively with cross-functional partners

🎯 Requirements

• Previous professional copy-editing, proofreading, or related editorial experience, or equivalent experience demonstrating strong command of editorial standards • Deep knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage, with the ability to apply editorial style guidelines consistently • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, polished work • Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines while balancing multiple assignments • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with editors, writers, fact-checkers, and other editorial partners • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, including the ability to adapt as editorial needs evolve
