📋 Description

• Manage an assigned caseload of medical-only and lost-time workers’ compensation claims from first report of injury through resolution • Make decisions about liability and compensability, evaluate losses, set reserves, and negotiate settlements • Interact with claimants, policyholders, clients, medical providers, attorneys, appraisers, and other third parties • Make timely initial contacts and investigate new claims • Verify coverage and take recorded statements as needed • Document every conversation and action taken daily • Identify and address subrogation issues • Start and stop indemnity benefits accurately and timely • Complete jurisdictional forms accurately and timely • Monitor ongoing medical treatment and request second medical opinions when needed • Request surveillance appropriately • Work mail and diary daily • Visit clients as required • Prepare for and handle hearings • Communicate directly with clients • Prepare reports and analytical data as requested by management

🎯 Requirements

• Must hold a valid Workers’ Compensation Adjuster license • Must have at least 2-3 years of experience handling indemnity workers’ compensation claims • High school diploma • Ability to follow instructions, procedures and rules • Strong attention to detail • Good written and oral communication skills • Well organized and able to multitask • Basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook • Fast, accurate data entry
