📋 Description

• Determine liability by gathering and analyzing relevant facts and applying applicable procedures • Determine policy verification and coverage by analyzing applicable claim coverage and whether losses fall within coverage • Participate in Risk Management Agency-initiated reviews and referrals for operational integrity and quality assurance • Protect Zurich’s reputation by keeping claims information confidential • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational opportunities, industry-trend awareness, personal networks, and professional societies • Travel within the assigned territory and, for the Crop Claims Specialist, outside the assigned territory as needed • Participate on CAT teams and provide remote assistance for claims-care-center calls and CCP Claims when required

🎯 Requirements

• Crop Claims Field Adjuster I: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area • Crop Claims Specialist: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or crop insurance industry • Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) Certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire date • Reliable personal transportation and travel within the assigned territory • Crop Claims Specialist: travel outside the assigned area to assist with workloads, participate on CAT teams, and/or provide remote assistance for CROP Claims Care Center calls and CCP Claims • Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles • Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet • Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs • Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills • Strong organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills • Must live within 50 miles of Bay, Saginaw, or Midland counties in Michigan • Employment sponsorship is not offered
