📋 Description

• Manage and further develop expertise in assigned dental product categories • Develop plans to increase sales, market share, and/or profitability • Manage and oversee at least one direct report • Own activities surrounding category performance, including sales and market share analysis • Identify underperforming categories and develop sales and market-share programs for branded and private-brand products • Provide strategic guidance on private-brand product additions and line extensions • Manage new product submissions, determine product acceptance or rejection, pricing, forecasts, and opening order quantities • Oversee new item-code creation, web attributes, descriptions, and catalog copy • Develop promotional plans with suppliers for successful product launches • Determine products and pricing for flyers and negotiate supplier buying deals • Oversee communication and implementation of supplier deals with Inventory Management • Review and approve product classifications, descriptions, images, stocking decisions, and inventory returns • Manage category layouts and presentations for annual dental and specialty catalogs/flyers • Perform competitive pricing analysis and determine selling prices • Train, lead, and develop team members on processes and procedures • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in applicable professional experience • 1 or more years of management experience • Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in a related discipline is preferred education • Master's degree or global equivalent is a plus • Excellent Excel skills • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office • Strong analytical skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to multitask and work in a team environment • Strong management and leadership skills • Ability to attract, retain, motivate, develop, and mentor team members • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills • Ability to resolve disputes effectively • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills • Excellent independent decision-making, analysis, and problem-solving skills • Ability to understand and act on financial information contributing to profitability • Ability to plan and manage successful projects, including resources, timelines, budgets, tasks, and responsibilities • Ability to lead teams to achieve company goals • Excellent planning and organizational skills • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management • Good negotiating skills and ability to manage outsourced relationships • Ability to influence, build relationships, understand organizational complexities, and manage conflict • Broad professional and managerial skills with understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures • Ability to lead virtual teams • Travel typically less than 10% • Office environment; no special physical demands required
