📋 Description

• Support the Principal AI/ML Engineer • Advance space simulation and support AI development for the USSF customer • Collaborate with AI engineers, modeling and simulation engineers, product owners, and program managers • Support development of artificial intelligence models integral to a larger pipeline • Develop advanced AI for space superiority analytics, multi-domain, joint service, and operational needs • Support force structure planning, Joint Combatant Command analysis and operations support, Space Force testing and training, and space systems research and development • Build software from source for different platforms using various compilers • Develop acceptance, integration, and unit tests • Develop new capabilities leveraging existing libraries • Participate in software design meetings and code reviews • Perform issue backlog and board maintenance • Provide execution plan and status report inputs • Write user and developer documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Must be working towards a Master's degree with more than 50% of degree required credits completed • Interest in Space Operations • Solid Technical Writing Skills • Willingness to Tackle Difficult Problems • Willingness to Learn New Languages (e.g., AFscript) • Knowledgeable in agent-based, event-driven simulators • Knowledgeable in at least one scripting language • Familiar using Git, GitLab, JFrog Artifactory, Jira, Confluence • Willingness to learn and provide insight into AFSIM • Prior internship or work within the Air Force Research Laboratory preferred • Ability to obtain security clearance • Required travel of 0–10%
