📋 Description

• Support government customers in Latin America • Support United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) • Implement and strengthen Ground, Aviation Safety, and Quality Assurance practices across STINGRAI operations • Develop, modify, and execute safety and quality tasks identifying and documenting hazards across systems and systems of systems • Apply system safety engineering principles, including hazard analyses, categorization, causal analyses, mitigation development, documentation, tracking, and residual risk assessment • Conduct functional analyses, safety and hazard evaluations, risk assessments, reliability assessments, and residual risk reviews • Support safety and quality program management through schedule tracking, progress reporting, and coordination • Perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience • Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance • Strong understanding of mission profiles, including rapid mobility, remote operations, and dynamic mission environments • Ability to conduct real-time risk assessments for time-sensitive STINGRAI missions • Knowledge of aviation safety principles in dispersed, austere, and partner-nation environments across Latin America • Experience identifying hazards related to remote landing zones, regional terrain, weather, and communication limitations • Proficiency in aviation safety reporting, trend analysis, and after-action risk evaluations • Ability to deliver safety briefings to aircrews in high-tempo operational conditions • Familiarity with U.S. aviation regulations and safety requirements aligned with USSOUTHCOM • Experience coordinating aviation safety procedures with partner-nation air units and interagency organizations • Proven leadership and communication skills to guide crews through demanding missions • Ability to support emergency and contingency response procedures • Experience developing and administering comprehensive aviation quality programs • Experience developing and implementing Continuing Airworthiness Surveillance programs • Experience developing, accepting, and implementing aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS) • Preferred: former military manned aircraft pilot • Preferred: graduate of USN/USMC Aviation Safety School with relevant MOS • Preferred: strong understanding of FAA, DoD, and international aviation safety standards • Preferred: experience supporting SOF aviation or tactical mobility operations • Preferred: familiarity with mixed-fleet safety considerations • Preferred: training or certification in mishap investigation or human factors analysis
