📋 Description

• Lead a movement-wide effort to build lasting AI capability across Hillel’s professional network • Partner with Hillel’s Technology Services department and cross-departmental teams • Identify AI opportunities, redesign workflows, develop best practices and ethical guidelines • Unlock value from existing data, research, and evaluation infrastructure • Use AI to connect information across student engagement, program outcomes, campus performance, development, and operations • Build organizational capacity to ask consequential questions of data and act on the answers • Provide vision, governance, and direction for AI adoption • Serve as an embedded consultant for opportunity identification, workflow redesign, and best-practice development • Transfer AI enablement capability to designated team leads • Build a peer-to-peer network for sharing and adopting successful approaches • Establish principles for responsible AI use covering privacy, quality, bias, accuracy, transparency, and environmental impact • Guide selection and rollout of enterprise-grade AI platforms and secure access • Establish data integrity and organizational quality standards • Coordinate operational implementation, integration, and support • Develop and oversee staff training, embedded consultation, peer learning, and implementation support • Build AI training modules into existing professional development programs • Equip staff to use AI tools, identify opportunities, solve problems, and advance organizational goals and student outcomes • Incorporate AI limitations, risks, and trade-offs into enablement

🎯 Requirements

• Significant professional experience, typically 8+ years, in learning and development, change management, organizational development, digital transformation, or a closely related field • Hands-on fluency with modern AI tools, including large language models and enterprise AI platforms • Understanding of AI capabilities and limitations • Experience driving technology adoption across an organization • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into plain language and practical workflows • Experience designing and delivering training or enablement for non-technical staff • Ability to address the ethical, cultural, and environmental dimensions of AI, including limitations and risks • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills • Ability to advise and influence senior leadership • Sound judgment regarding data integrity, privacy, and responsible use of organizational information • Passion for Hillel International’s mission • Experience in a nonprofit, mission-driven, higher-education, or multi-site/federated organization • Familiarity with Claude, Gemini, Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Slack AI • Practical experience building AI workflows, prompts, or connectors • Familiarity with AI ethics, responsible-AI frameworks, or environmental considerations of large-scale AI use • Data and analytics literacy • Experience establishing a new program, function, or capability • Connection to or familiarity with Jewish communal life, campus life, or Hillel’s served populations
