📋 Description

• Conduct high-level legal, regulatory, legislative, corporate, and general research for attorneys and administrative staff • Demonstrate knowledge of Lexis, CourtLink, public records platforms, and other research tools • Clarify research objectives, recommend research strategies, and deliver actionable results • Provide business development, competitive intelligence, client, industry, and market research • Prepare concise research summaries, reports, and source analyses • Create and maintain alerts for clients, cases, and industries • Support implementation and responsible use of legal AI tools • Assist with onboarding and training attorneys and staff on research tools, AI platforms, alerts, and best practices • Work collaboratively and independently to deliver high-quality research results • Perform other related responsibilities as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree in Library Science, MLIS or equivalent, and/or J.D. preferred • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience conducting in-depth legal research • Experience with general litigation research, including case law and expert witness research • Understanding of the legal profession and basic knowledge of litigation and transactional practices • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Highly developed organizational skills • Familiarity with legal AI tools and demonstrated experience using AI for legal research • Ability to independently own projects and complete them timely and cost-effectively • Polished communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Experience using research-related databases and commitment to continuous learning • Ability to use initiative, work under pressure, and complete assignments accurately, timely, and professionally • Must reside in a state where the firm maintains an office
