📋 Description

• Plan, execute, and manage on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of High Voltage GIS equipment (69kV–550kV) • Serve as Hitachi Energy’s on-site representative to customers, subcontractors, inspectors, and local stakeholders • Supervise field teams and subcontractors to support quality, productivity, schedule, and safe work execution • Oversee adherence to drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements • Perform and document field testing, including SF6 leak detection, gas analysis, timing, power factor, and contact resistance testing • Conduct inspections to determine maintenance needs and required repairs, supporting resource planning decisions • Plan and participate in on-site progress meetings and coordinate daily field activities • Prepare clear, accurate field documentation, reports, and project records • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines • Support customers across the United States during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning phases

🎯 Requirements

• Must already have work authorization permitting employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States • Minimum of 10 years of experience in field service or construction management • Preferably experience with substation, switchgear, or high voltage equipment (69kV–550kV) • Technical certificate or associate degree in an electrical or mechanical related field, or a combination of education and directly applicable experience • Experience supervising erection and testing activities for high voltage substations and equipment • Knowledge of safety procedures for working in energized, high voltage substations • Valid vehicle operator’s permit • OSHA 10 training certification, or ability to acquire it
