📋 Description

• Create substation drawing packages, including one-line drawings, substation plan and elevation drawings, electrical assembly drawings, equipment manufacturing drawings, foundation and grounding plan drawings, conduit and cable routing plan drawings, cable schedules, bills of materials, and detailed electrical connection drawings • Apply Lean manufacturing principles to product fabrication activities and existing or new product configurations • Support and lead capital projects improving safety, production efficiency, and quality • Troubleshoot production problems and provide recommendations based on analysis • Drive engineering-related manufacturing changes to improve quality, cost, and lead time • Provide solutions to issues affecting operator safety, quality, productivity, and cost • Analyze and evaluate manufacturing methods, equipment, and standards • Create 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks • Review drawings created by others for accuracy and consistency with company standards • Review customer specifications against company standards and capabilities • Issue Engineering Change Notices with supporting documentation • Prepare final reports and conduct quality checks of documents and reports • Lead process validation and pilot production activities for new or improved equipment and processes • Investigate new technologies and options for equipment, design, and assembly

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in General Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (required) • 3-6 years of experience in engineering with a focus on design, development, or project management (required) • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools required for design, analysis, and implementation (required) • Knowledge or application of Lean manufacturing principles • Ability to troubleshoot production problems and make recommendations based on thorough analysis • Ability to analyze and evaluate manufacturing methods, equipment, and standards • Experience creating 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks • Ability to review drawings for accuracy and consistency with company standards • Ability to review customer specifications against company standards and capabilities • Ability to issue Engineering Change Notices with supporting documentation • Ability to prepare reports and verify the accuracy of data, information, and calculations • Ability to support process validation and pilot production activities • Ability to investigate new technologies and options for equipment, design, and assembly • Demonstrated accuracy, thoroughness, sound judgment, timely decision-making, and commitment to quality
