📋 Description

• Partner with the team to support members, projects, and goals affecting outcomes • Support and facilitate care for members • Work with healthcare professionals, HR, and IT depending on the internship selected • Complete assignments within defined parameters • Follow standard policies and practices while exercising some independent discretion • Work approximately 1 scheduled hour per week

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a transitioning service member eligible to participate in the DOW SkillBridge or a military spouse eligible to participate in the military spouse fellowship • Must reside in the state of South Carolina • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills • Proficiency in healthcare software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems • Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload • Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information • Previous Medicare/Medicaid experience preferred • Knowledge of payer policies, insurance companies, and government health programs preferred • Interest in working in the healthcare industry preferred
