📋 Description

• Conduct quality assurance audits of medical records and ICD-9/10 diagnosis codes submitted to CMS and other government agencies • Ensure coding is accurate and supported by clinical documentation in the health record • Follow state and federal regulations and internal policies and guidelines • Analyze coding information and medical records • Participate in provider education programs on coding compliance • Make decisions regarding work approach and priorities while following direction • Attend occasional Humana office training or meetings as required • Protect member PHI/HIPAA information when working from home

🎯 Requirements

• Certified Coder Certification: CPC, CCS or CCA • 3 years of related coding and Risk Adjustment experience • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access • Ability to balance multiple high-priority tasks and meet internal and external deadlines • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills • Willingness to work an 8-hour Monday–Friday shift • Availability to start on the hour or half hour between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM Eastern Standard Time • Ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office • Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload • Satellite and wireless internet service is not allowed • Dedicated, interruption-free workspace to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
