📋 Description

• Perform general accounting activities, including preparing, maintaining, and reconciling ledger accounts and financial statements • Prepare balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules • Document accounting projects • Prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions • Ensure the integrity, completeness, accuracy, and compliance of accounting records • Provide financial support through forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing budget variances • Analyze and prepare financial statements and reports • Influence department strategy • Make decisions regarding technical approaches for project components • Report to an Accounting Lead • Work as an individual contributor • Travel occasionally to Humana offices for training or meetings if required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Five or more years of experience in an accounting or finance role • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel • Proficiency in pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas • Master's Degree in Business Administration or Master's Degree in Accounting (preferred) • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (preferred) • Knowledge of SQL and Snowflake (preferred) • Experience with PowerBI (preferred) • Previous experience in healthcare (preferred) • Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload for home or hybrid employees • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
