• Support the HRS SF424 product team through requirements analysis, mapping validation, workbook preparation, status tracking, release validation, and cross-functional communication • Build working knowledge of SF-424 forms, Grants.gov, federal grant administration, HRS Grants workflows, form engines, schemas, validation rules, attachments, and agency-specific behavior • Create and validate SF424 requirements workbooks using instructions, schemas, HRS Grants logic, field-level rules, and product priorities • Analyze form definitions, versions, display and required rules, validation rules, list values, help text, repeatable sections, attachments, and budget logic • Review generated workbooks, scorecards, mappings, and inferencing outputs to identify gaps, incorrect assumptions, rule issues, and missing requirements • Translate ambiguous input into requirements, assumptions, questions, decisions, and follow-up actions • Validate mappings among Grants.gov fields, XML/XSD schemas, HRS Grants data, configuration, source-system behavior, and expected output • Partner with engineering, architecture, and QA on forms, schemas, integrations, data models, rules, attachments, and submission workflows • Prepare engineering handoff materials and support QA, post-build validation, UAT, defect triage, regression coverage, and acceptance • Explore future-state SF424 workflows and AI-assisted integration and automation opportunities • Create prototypes, workflow concepts, data-flow sketches, prompts, test cases, proof-of-concept artifacts, and experiments • Partner with Product Management, the Product Owner, Engineering, QA, and Services to align decisions, dependencies, blockers, ownership, and delivery • Maintain Azure DevOps records in alignment with Huron’s SDLC process • Document repositories, analysis approaches, workbook steps, validation expectations, handoffs, known issues, and review patterns • Create templates, checklists, review guides, traceability notes, and process documentation • Identify process improvements and provide backup product, requirements, validation, and release support • Track success through improved workbook quality, engineering readiness, validation throughput, documentation, continuity, and alignment with Grants.gov and HRS workflows
• U.S. work authorization is required • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a business, scientific, analytical, or technology-related field • At least 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Product Owner, Implementation Consultant, Quality Analyst, or similar role supporting complex software products or cross-functional software delivery teams • Experience in research administration, grants management, federal grant applications, government or compliance-driven programs, higher education, healthcare, academic medicine, or another complex regulated domain • Ability to develop working knowledge of SF-424 forms, federal grant application packages, proposal workflows, budgets, subawards, attachments, and Grants.gov system-to-system submissions • Ability to document requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, validation notes, decision logs, questions, assumptions, and stakeholder summaries • Ability to translate ambiguous or technical input into structured analysis and engineering-ready requirements • Experience with backlog refinement, bug triage, requirements validation, release readiness, UAT, implementation support, or similar delivery activities • Ability to compare source materials, generated outputs, system behavior, stakeholder feedback, and test results • Working understanding of enterprise software, SaaS products, forms engines, rules engines, data mappings, integrations, APIs, XML or JSON, schemas, data flows, configuration, attachments, error handling, and release validation • Ability to read technical artifacts including mapping files, schema definitions, architecture diagrams, repositories, generated outputs, and test results • Comfort with Azure DevOps, GitHub or source repositories, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, and internal tools • Comfort using AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT or GitHub Copilot while validating outputs • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong facilitation, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and follow-through skills • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, adapt quickly, and structure ambiguous work • Ability to collaborate across multiple time zones with distributed teams, including teams in the U.S. and India • Preferred: 3+ years of relevant experience • Preferred: experience with Huron Research Suite, Huron Click, InfoEd, Cayuse, Kuali, COEUS, or similar solutions • Preferred: direct SF-424, Grants.gov Workspace, API, XML/XSD, WSDL, mTLS, hashing, attachment-handling, or related integration experience • Preferred: experience with research administration, proposal development, sponsored projects, awards, budgets, subawards, compliance forms, or institutional approvals • Preferred: experience creating requirements workbooks, traceability matrices, mapping documents, validation catalogs, scorecards, test cases, or release-readiness artifacts • Preferred: proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio or Lucid, SharePoint, Teams, Salesforce, and related tools
