📋 Description

• Perform regularly scheduled in-plant audits as requested by the Regional Inspection Manager • Perform scheduled on-site audits • Perform product sampling • Monitor clients’ implementation of approved quality systems • Evaluate and communicate the status of each client’s quality system to the Regional Inspection Manager • Submit inspection reports to the Regional Inspection Manager for review by the end of each month • Establish relationships with states and HUD • Follow applicable ICC NTA procedures in executing inspection jobs • Identify, recommend, and pursue process improvement opportunities • Promote effective communication throughout the organization • Identify opportunities to enhance communication among employees • Provide insights and ideas for resolving repetitive field issues • Maintain consistent communication with Inspection Managers • Perform other duties and special assignments as directed by the Regional Inspection Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Entry-level ICC Building Inspector role in the Kansas region • Must pass ICC Residential examinations in Building, Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing within 12 months of employment • Must complete CEU training as required to maintain licenses and certifications • Ability to travel to client facilities or worksites by airplane or automobile • High School diploma or equivalent • Two years’ experience working in building construction, building code enforcement or performing quality assurance audits • Valid Driver’s License is required • Some overnight travel is required • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer or desk • Occasional standing, walking, and reaching to access files or office supplies • Manual dexterity for typing, filing, and handling office equipment • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally • Visual acuity to read printed and digital materials • Auditory ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone • May need to climb stairs in multi-level office building • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and a standard office environment with artificial lighting and climate control
