• Work in support of various utility-sponsored programs that encourage energy efficiency in the commercial and industrial markets • Responsible for identifying and recruiting customer participation within energy efficiency programs • Develop a data-driven outreach strategy to recruit and retain new and existing customers • Prospect, identify, and qualify potential energy efficiency upgrades for customers • Increase customer awareness of financial benefits from implementing energy conservation measures • Cultivate and develop new business through long-term relationships with professional organizations and trade allies • Maintain knowledge of state and federal funding programs • Track state/local and national energy policies
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Finance, or related field and 2+ years of industry experience OR High School Diploma and 6+ years of industry experience • 1+ year of outside sales or business development experience • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check • Proven success in outside sales or business development • Strong follow-up and closing skills • Energy efficiency background with knowledge of building mechanical systems or commercial lighting • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Dynamics, Word, Outlook, Excel) • Experience with economic analysis and DSM program planning • Utility experience and understanding of DSM program implementation • Experience with ENERGY STAR, LEED, or similar programs
