📋 Description

• Own significant projects end-to-end, from technical design through implementation and rollout • Set technical direction across the healthcare data platform and member management solution • Influence the culture and direction of the technical organization • Apply technical judgment to development practices, including AI-assisted development • Raise engineering standards, processes, and code quality across the team • Mentor engineers and serve as a technical leader • Collaborate with Product through product inceptions, architecture reviews, and roadmap prioritization • Build high-quality code through TDD, pair programming, code review, static analysis, and documented best practices

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience • Track record of owning substantial projects from design through delivery • Proficiency in both Ruby and Rust • Experience with Ruby on Rails APIs and Rust/Axum-based services • Experience designing, building, and maintaining production APIs • Experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines • Strong software development craft and consistently high-quality code • Technical judgment and taste for effective use of AI-assisted development tools • Ability to work in highly collaborative engineering teams • Transparent, positive communication • Familiarity with the American health insurance and healthcare ecosystem strongly preferred for U.S.-based candidates
