Ignite Reading is an early literacy intervention provider that partners with K–2 school districts to deliver daily, 1:1, Science of Reading–aligned tutoring using certified literacy instructors. The program combines a structured curriculum, centralized scheduling, progress monitoring, and district-level reporting to close reading gaps, scale quickly across schools, and reduce teacher workload. Ignite focuses on measurable student outcomes and works primarily with districts and schools to implement and manage tutoring programs.

📋 Description

• Lead product work for the team building Ignite Reading's AI infrastructure and AI-enabled tools, processes, and workflows • Partner with teams across the organization to identify, create, and deploy AI-enabled tools, processes, and workflows • Own the shared services roadmap and maintain the program's opportunity solution tree • Lead change management for AI adoption through education, trust-building, and engagement • Assist the VP of Product and senior leadership team in delivering AI-enabled tools and driving organizational adoption • Define and document product requirements, user stories, use cases, and functional specifications • Iterate on tools and workflows based on usage, gaps, and learnings • Collaborate with engineering and AI engineering teams to deliver high-quality internal products • Communicate strategy, progress, decisions, risks, and blockers to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Define and monitor program performance metrics and conduct internal user research • Share successful workflows and discoveries and support teammates' AI learning journey

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in a product management role • Deep, demonstrated experience building AI tools, processes, and workflows • Ideally, experience applying AI at the organizational level • Technical fluency with engineering and AI terminology • Understanding of AI infrastructure, including harnesses, observability, and evals • Strong cross-team collaboration skills • Proven ability to navigate change-management politics • Strategic prioritization focused on organizational needs • Ability to communicate AI’s transformational potential credibly across a company • Solid product fundamentals, including discovery, requirements documents, and use cases • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced startup environment • Mission-driven commitment to helping every child learn to read • Preferred: experience at early-stage startups • Preferred: experience with Education Technology
