📋 Description

• Manage all aspects of assigned payer relationships, including contract language negotiation and management, rate and methodology research and negotiation, dispute resolution, and relationship management • Maintain expertise of assigned contracts, including language, structure, rates, methodologies, and contracted providers and facilities • Ensure contract language, documentation, negotiations, payment rates, methodologies, storage, and escalated issues follow Payer Contracting standard practices • Represent Payer Contracting and Intermountain Health in key relationships, including leading Joint Operating Committees • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with aligned payers • Coordinate with Finance and Revenue Cycle leadership on risk-based contracting, proactive care strategies, and initiatives • Coordinate with Legal and Compliance to ensure contract accuracy, regulatory compliance, and language consistency • Provide leadership and mentorship to Payer Contracting Managers • Travel frequently to negotiate contracts with payers

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leading and supporting complex negotiations • Experience in a professional role requiring effective verbal and written communication of advanced topics • Ability to synthesize extensive data into clear, concise summaries without sacrificing material details • Experience leading teams, including cross-functional teams • Demonstrated experience mentoring teams and caregivers • Preferred: experience negotiating complex payer agreements, transplant center-of-excellence arrangements, specialty network contracts, and/or advanced reimbursement models • Strong understanding of case rates, bundled payments, carve-out agreements, and high-acuity service reimbursement • Ability to travel frequently to negotiate contracts with payers • Frequent computer use and ability to see and read information and documents • Ability to meet remote work expectations concerning confidentiality, information security, work schedules, conflicts of interest, and company equipment
