📋 Description

• Assist pharmacists with all phases of pharmacy services under required supervision • Answer phones and provide customer service • Collect clinical and patient information and maintain records • Use pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders, perform calculations, and compound medications as appropriate • Obtain supervision and pharmacist accuracy checks and identify tasks requiring pharmacist verification • Fill and maintain medication supplies, including controlled substance inventories and 340B/charging management • Package and label medications accurately to minimize waste • Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and orderliness • Communicate with caregivers about responsibilities and concerns • Participate in quality, patient safety, departmental, and process-improvement initiatives • Promote Intermountain Health's mission, vision, values, and service standards • Deliver consistent, flexible, detail-oriented care and perform other assigned duties • Support departmental financial responsibilities and team goals, activities, and projects • Deliver medications, information, and service professionally and promptly

🎯 Requirements

• High School or equivalent is required • Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice • Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding pharmacy practice and distribution of drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification as appropriate to practice site • Competence in technical responsibilities and willingness to seek training and peer feedback • Ability to comply with state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines • Regular attendance during scheduled business hours or shifts • Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multifunctional team • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment • Competence using computers and software, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google • Ability to learn new relevant applications • Ability to perform required physical activities, including lifting, standing, walking, manual dexterity, and speaking
