📋 Description

• Work on the macOS sensor for CrowdStrike Falcon, an on-device security agent • Monitor file, process, network, and identity activity • Block malicious behavior and stream telemetry to the cloud • Develop and maintain a user-space System Extension • Build high-concurrency, highly reliable code with careful memory, CPU, and performance usage • Work with code shared across Mac, Windows, and Linux • Implement and maintain endpoint security clients handling blocking AUTH events and notification events • Work with Network Extension content and packet filters • Implement security and cryptographic capabilities, including code-signature and certificate validation, Keychain, entitlements, hardened runtime, and macOS privacy permissions • Support device and storage enumeration and events using IOKit and DiskArbitration • Handle installers, notarization, and MDM configuration profiles deployed through Jamf, Intune, or similar tools

🎯 Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience (more senior candidates may also be evaluated) • U.S. Citizen (USC) or Green Card (GC) holder; work authorization required • Modern C++ (C++17/20) • Swift 6, including async/await, actors, and strict concurrency checking • Objective-C++ for bridging Swift, C++ and C APIs • macOS systems programming with Foundation, CoreFoundation, GCD, pthreads, POSIX/BSD APIs, Mach IPC, launchd, and XPC • CPU and memory profiling with Instruments and os_signpost • Debugging with LLDB, crash logs, and os_log • XCTest, sanitizers, fuzzing, and xcodebuild-based CI • Experience with Apple Silicon and Intel • Experience with codebases shared across Mac, Windows, and Linux • Experience in one or more core areas: Process model and IPC; Endpoint Security and System Extensions; Network Extension; security and cryptography; IOKit and DiskArbitration; packaging and deployment • Nice to have: SwiftUI and AppKit; testing macOS and Xcode betas; shipping EDR/AV, network security, or device-management products
