📋 Description

• Work on the macOS sensor for CrowdStrike Falcon, an on-device security agent • Monitor file, process, network, and identity activity • Block malicious behavior and stream telemetry to the cloud • Develop and maintain a user-space System Extension • Build highly concurrent, reliable code with careful attention to memory, CPU usage, and performance • Collaborate on code shared across Mac, Windows, and Linux • Potentially develop SwiftUI and AppKit apps and app extensions • Test against macOS and Xcode betas before public release • Ship or support EDR/AV, network security, or device-management products

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. Citizen (USC) or Green Card (GC) holders only • 6–10 years of experience; more senior experience may be evaluated • Proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20) and Swift 6, including async/await, actors, and strict concurrency checking • Objective-C++ experience bridging Swift, C++ and C APIs • macOS systems programming with Foundation, CoreFoundation, GCD, pthreads, POSIX/BSD APIs, Mach IPC, launchd, and XPC • Experience profiling CPU and memory with Instruments and os_signpost • Experience debugging with LLDB, crash logs, and os_log • Experience with XCTest, sanitizers, fuzzing, and xcodebuild-based CI • Experience with Apple Silicon and Intel • Experience with codebases shared across Mac, Windows, and Linux • Expertise in one or more: process model and IPC; Endpoint Security and System Extensions; Network Extension; security and cryptography; devices and storage; packaging and deployment; performance, debugging, and testing • Experience with Endpoint Security clients handling blocking (AUTH) and notification events, user/MDM approval, and upgrades • Experience with Network Extension content filters and Network.framework • Experience verifying code signatures and certificates, Keychain, entitlements, hardened runtime, and macOS privacy permissions • Experience with IOKit and DiskArbitration • Experience with installers, notarization, and MDM configuration profiles deployed through Jamf, Intune, or similar tools
