📋 Description

• Partner with Business Central functional consultants to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions • Create technical designs and architecture documentation for client review and development execution • Lead architecture discussions for Business Central customizations, extensions, and integrations • Evaluate technical approaches and identify scalability, maintainability, and performance concerns • Design, develop, and maintain Business Central extensions using AL • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex development challenges • Mentor, guide, and provide troubleshooting support for junior and mid-level developers • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices • Collaborate with leadership to manage development priorities and release readiness • Diagnose and resolve complex Business Central issues, including performance optimization, upgrade and deployment challenges, posting and transactional errors, data issues, and integration failures • Support ongoing client environments and contribute to long-term solution stability • Improve development methodologies, release processes, and technical standards • Enhance source control, environment management, testing, and deployment practices • Evaluate and implement AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity and code quality • Contribute to the evolution of VetaTek's Business Central development practice

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central development experience • Extensive hands-on experience developing Business Central solutions using AL • Strong understanding of Business Central functional areas, including General Ledger and Financial Management, Sales and Customer Management, Purchasing, Inventory, and Supply Chain Management • Experience leading technical design discussions and gathering solution requirements directly from stakeholders • Strong knowledge of Business Central APIs, web services, and integration patterns • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithmic efficiency, application architecture, performance optimization, and secure coding practices • Experience troubleshooting complex production environments • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar platforms • Previous experience working for a Microsoft Partner or consulting organization • Experience with AL-Go for GitHub and/or Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines • Experience with Business Central containers and BcContainerHelper • AppSource application development experience • Multi-tenant Business Central solution development • Experience integrating Business Central with Dynamics 365 Sales, Dataverse, Power Platform, and third-party applications • NAV to Business Central upgrade and migration experience • Experience using Application Insights, telemetry, and SQL performance tuning • Must be authorized to work and reside in the United States
