Institute for Shipboard Education is the organization that operates Semester at Sea, a floating study-abroad program that runs multi-country semester voyages aboard a passenger ship. It provides college-credit courses taught by university-level faculty, shipboard classroom life, and experiential in-country field programs for undergraduates, gap-year students, recent graduates, and lifelong learners. The program emphasizes global citizenship, immersive cultural engagement, and a residential shipboard community that combines academics and travel.

📋 Description

• Answer incoming questions from prospective and confirmed students and their parents • Communicate by phone, email, SMS, ZeeMee, and virtual events • Assist with management of the admissions general email inbox, SMS account, and ZeeMee community • Maintain knowledge of program offerings, policies, and procedures to advise students preparing for voyages • Track records and update student and school information in Salesforce CRM • Assist in auditing pre-voyage documents and requirements • Research study abroad offices, offerings, regional events, and student needs • Support Student Support Services and Recruitment and University Relations personnel • Attend weekly all-company and Enrollment Team meetings • Host student information sessions and moderate or participate in the Semester at Sea ZeeMee community

🎯 Requirements

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills • High degree of resourcefulness and initiative • Comfort and proficiency with diverse technology and software, and willingness to learn new technologies • Ability to maintain office standards and protocol regarding processes and confidentiality • Flexibility, open-mindedness, and positive attitude • Knowledge of global education and ability to promote ISE’s interests • Ability to lift, carry, or move objects up to 20 lbs. • Must be located within the state of Colorado • Availability for 10 hours weekly, Monday–Friday during business hours (8 a.m.–5 p.m. MST) • Availability to attend weekly all-company and Enrollment Team meetings, typically Mondays, 9:00–10:30 a.m. MST • Resume submitted as a PDF with a filename beginning with the applicant’s last name
