📋 Description

• Perform advanced specialty professional coding for complex surgical encounters • Serve as a subject matter expert supporting coding accuracy, reimbursement integrity, and regulatory compliance • Interpret operative reports and clinical documentation to assign accurate procedure codes • Apply advanced modifier logic and coding principles to ensure compliant and optimal reimbursement • Resolve escalated, complex, and ambiguous coding issues with expert judgment and minimal guidance • Partner with coding teams and operational stakeholders to resolve specialty coding issues • Explain coding rationale and documentation needs to stakeholders • Drive consistency and reduce variation in complex coding practices • Ensure coding outcomes support reimbursement, reporting, and compliance • Apply updated coding guidance and support adoption of best practices

🎯 Requirements

• 2 year coding experience • High School Diploma or GED • One of the following certifications: AHIMA-RHIA, AHIMA-RHIT, AHIMA-CCS, AAPC-CPC, AAPC-CIC, or AAPPC-COC • Apply advanced specialty coding to complex surgical encounters • Interpret operative reports and clinical documentation • Use modifier logic and coding principles to support compliant reimbursement • Resolve complex coding scenarios with consistency and precision • Surgical CPT coding experience preferred
