📋 Description

• Develop detailed designs independently using industry knowledge, company and external standards, and lessons from previous projects • Execute designs across design-build, plan and specification, and design-assist projects • Facilitate information sharing with design disciplines, field contacts, clients, vendors, utilities, and governing agencies • Conduct site trips by planning, working with onsite teams, and processing information afterward • Delegate work to other team members by outlining the purpose and process of deliverables • Contribute to estimates and conceptual design phases with technical insights and design recommendations • Complete deliverables across multiple disciplines or lanes • Lead routine project meetings and ensure actionable outcomes • Apply hands-on panel shop, prefabrication, or field-work experience to enhance design knowledge • Review, update, and conduct training on current standards • Mentor and train new employees

🎯 Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field from a four-year ABET-accredited program is required • 2–4 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and practical experience that demonstrates the required competencies • Graduates must be eligible to complete the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or have achieved EIT (Engineer in Training) certification prior to graduation • Strong knowledge of electrical terminology and components • Knowledge of electrical symbols • Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) • Proficiency in drafting software is preferred • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily • Travel is required and will vary according to business requirements; travel should not exceed 25% of your time • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
