📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end delivery of SCADA systems and associated communications infrastructure for wind, solar, and battery storage projects • Lead safe, compliant commissioning and startup of SCADA and communications systems • Bring systems online, validate performance through acceptance testing, and complete turnover to Operations • Build and secure plant communications networks, including IP plans, protocols, interfaces, and firewall rules across SCADA/OT/IT equipment • Partner with plant controller OEMs, transmission operators, and generator owners/operators to configure controls and data paths • Own energization and commissioning execution plans, including scope, sequencing, readiness gates, and risk mitigation • Monitor construction progress remotely and through on-site visits; resolve field issues and provide programming and field support during commissioning • Coordinate cross-functional teams to align SCADA deliverables with project requirements and critical-path schedules • Track design schedules, communicate status and risks, and ensure critical dates are met • Maintain specifications and configurations for SCADA, power plant controllers, RTUs, and IT/OT equipment • Oversee complete as-built turnover packages for Operations • Support technical due diligence with independent engineers and project partners • Stay current on technology and best practices through training, conferences, and continuous learning • Perform additional responsibilities assigned by leadership

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related degree • 4+ years of transmission, distribution, and/or generation SCADA systems experience • Knowledge of physical and software aspects of networking equipment connecting generation assets • Experience with industrial communication protocols and architectures such as OPC, DNP3, Modbus, and EGD • Experience working around HV/MV electrical infrastructure, including substations/switchyards, distribution systems, transmission lines, transformers, relays, meters, CTs, and PTs • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple concurrent projects • Considerable knowledge of computer and server operation • Strong project management skills • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills • Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future • Up to 25% travel required • Valid driver’s license and legal authorization to operate a motor vehicle • Preferred: renewable power generation installation, commissioning, and site construction experience • Preferred: experience with GE WindSCADA, GE WindCONTROL, Vestas Online Business, SEL RTAC, and/or Ignition • Preferred: advanced SCADA, HMI, PLC, and RTU programming knowledge • Preferred: working knowledge of NERC compliance for low-impact cyber systems • Preferred: ability to coordinate work across EPC contractors, engineering firms, OEMs, and customers
