• Support the launch and ongoing growth of Ionis’s first wholly owned commercial product as its indication expands from Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) to severe hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG) • Engage key customers and accounts, identify opportunities to improve patient care, and build partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem • Build, maintain, and leverage local healthcare networks to develop and execute business plans • Educate healthcare professionals and office staff about sHTG, diagnostic pathways, and appropriate treatment • Provide value-added resources and HCP/patient support materials and programs • Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings • Gather market insights, profile accounts, and inform sales and marketing strategy • Understand local referral networks and identify, validate, and document HCPs treating sHTG patients • Develop and execute customer-focused territory strategic account plans • Engage endocrinologists, cardiologists, PCPs, and other relevant specialties • Participate in field meetings and training programs; complete label and compliance certifications • Collaborate with cross-functional teammates and share customer engagement learnings • Use available platforms and technology to compliantly engage customers through multiple channels • Partner on accounts involving patients seen by multiple specialties across geographies • Adhere to Ionis policies, procedures, and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards • Bachelor’s Degree • 5+ years of experience in Pharma sales • Experience in new product launches • Experience with account-based selling • HCP and IDN engagement experience • Cross-functional field team coordination experience • Prior experience independently managing a sales territory • Background in cardiology, endocrinology, and other sub-specialties that treat FCS patients • Familiarity with treating cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases such as severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG) • Established relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts • Ability to analyze market data and develop territory strategies • Record of navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs • Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to addressing patient needs • Injectable experience preferred
