📋 Description

• Define and govern enterprise-wide architecture strategy, standards, and roadmaps across IQVIA's global technology landscape • Co-design target-state enterprise architectures and reference models with business, technology, and product leaders • Define target enterprise data, AI, and interoperability reference architectures and standard patterns • Establish architecture patterns for EDC integration, clinical data warehousing, site and patient data orchestration, and agentic AI • Translate strategies and OKRs into capability- and outcome-based architecture roadmaps with rationalized financials • Provide an enterprise-wide view of business and technical capabilities and identify opportunities for platform and service consolidation • Guide senior stakeholders through architectural options, trade-offs, and investment implications • Create reusable capability models and architectural blueprints for scalable trial delivery • Use enterprise architecture tools to maintain capability models, EA meta-models, inventories, and roadmap intake processes • Govern and rationalize the enterprise architecture application and tooling portfolio • Collaborate with domain architects, product teams, business leaders, and technology leaders on shared services and common patterns • Monitor technology and industry trends and incorporate relevant innovations into standards and roadmaps • Track decentralized trials, wearable data integration, AI-driven patient matching, and agent-based workflow automation • Mentor and influence architects and senior engineers to improve architecture maturity and adherence to standards • Support IQVIA, a provider of clinical research services, commercial insights, and healthcare intelligence, in accelerating medical treatment development and improving patient outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years in software development • 10–12+ years in enterprise architecture in large, complex organizations • Experience owning enterprise-wide technology strategies and roadmaps • Experience with business architecture, value streams, capability maps, customer journeys, and portfolio financial health • Recent enterprise experience with data science, AI/ML, and agentic AI solutions • Experience designing LLM-based and agent-based systems • Knowledge of vector databases such as Pinecone and Redis • Knowledge of orchestration frameworks such as LangChain • Knowledge of MLOps platforms such as MLflow and Azure ML • Clinical AI/ML experience in patient cohort discovery, site feasibility modeling, protocol complexity assessment, or operational forecasting • Strong enterprise data architecture background • Experience with Databricks and Snowflake lakehouse architectures using medallion layering • Experience with data governance platforms, automation, catalogs, ontologies, and taxonomies • Experience architecting clinical data warehouses, data integration, harmonized patient and site data models, and regulatory-compliant clinical data governance • Deep familiarity with clinical operations and clinical trial management, including study design, regulatory pathways, site activation and management, patient recruitment, cohort identification, protocol adherence monitoring, safety and pharmacovigilance reporting, trial closeout, and data archival • Experience in healthcare or life sciences • Direct support of Clinical Operations functions such as site operations, patient recruitment, data management, and regulatory compliance • Understanding of event-driven, microservices-based, RESTful, API-first, and alternative integration patterns • Experience applying architecture patterns to site management workflows, patient data orchestration, and real-time trial monitoring dashboards • Experience with on-premises and Azure and/or AWS cloud architecture • Advanced proficiency with LeanIX, Ardoq, MEGA, or equivalent enterprise architecture tools • Expertise in EA meta-models, capability modeling, portfolio management, data and application inventories, and architecture governance • Ability to design and operationalize EA meta-models at enterprise scale • Strong executive presence, communication, influence, collaboration, and tenacity • Track record of partnering with senior business, technology, and product leaders to drive adoption of standard-driven enterprise architectures • Ability to engage clinical operations executives, site partners, patient advocates, and regulatory stakeholders
