📋 Description

• Oversee all accounting and accounting operational activities while reporting to the CFO • Develop team structure, roles, job descriptions, and hiring plans for the accounting organization • Lead and manage a high-performing accounting team • Promote automation, innovation, efficiency, and scalability • Manage accounting close processes and consolidations • Prepare financial statements on GAAP and Bookings bases • Oversee accounts, ledgers, reporting systems, GAAP compliance, regulatory requirements, and lender covenants • Coordinate annual audit, tax preparation engagements, and related reporting • Establish and document internal controls and separation of duties • Oversee cash management, treasury, and daily banking • Maintain annual and 13-week cash forecasts and analyze variances • Oversee Accounts Payable, vendor management, 1099 reporting, invoice and payment processing, and employee expense reports • Oversee corporate credit card programs • Oversee Accounts Receivable for non-standard contracts • Manage sales tax automation, analysis, assessment, and registrations • Monitor tax and business registration compliance • Coordinate annual income tax engagement • Oversee payroll-related filings, regulations, compliance, and payroll administration • Partner with Technology to improve order-to-cash processes and evaluate a new ERP • Reduce days to close from 8 to 3 • Automate reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting • Improve GAAP ASC 606 revenue recognition processes • Provide strategic, implementation, and due diligence support for M&A targets • Migrate payroll ownership from HR to Finance

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant, progressive experience • 2+ years of experience as a Controller • 3+ years of experience in public accounting with a “Big 8” firm, ideally in audit, preferred • Experience in an eCommerce business environment with a deep understanding of performance marketing preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • CPA required • MBA a plus • Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS • Demonstrated ability to leverage technology to improve processes • Experience managing financial systems selection and implementation/integration • Experience with Private Equity ownership and M&A transactions preferred • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Jet Reports, and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plus • Highest standards of accuracy and precision and excellent organizational skills • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate with different organizational levels • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences • Strong work ethic and high sense of urgency required • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Passion for health, fitness, nutrition, or personal training is a plus • Must reside in an ISSA-eligible state: AZ, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, NC, NV, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, or WI
