📋 Description

• Administer, secure, and tune SQL Server databases supporting Defense Logistics Agency applications • Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Microsoft SQL Server instances and databases • Monitor and tune database performance • Write and optimize queries, stored procedures, and jobs • Run backup, recovery, and high-availability operations • Test database restores • Apply database security controls, STIGs, and access management • Support audits and remediation • Support schema changes and data fixes for application releases • Work across operating systems and supporting scripting or programming languages • Lead database work through patching, upgrades, and incidents • Keep data available and protected

🎯 Requirements

• Active Top Secret Clearance • Five (5) years of progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access • Three (3) years of hands-on experience and expertise in Relational Database Management Systems • Capability to work on various operating systems and additional programming languages • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification, Category IAT Level II, such as Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, or SSCP • One computing environment certification: Microsoft Certified Azure Database Administrator Associate, MCSA: SQL 2012 Database Administration, MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Administration, or Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate • Available to start on 4 January 2027 • Willing to sign a Letter of Commitment • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform computer-based work using standard office equipment • Requires frequent verbal communication, active listening, and visual acuity • Must follow site-specific safety, security, and dress standards
