📋 Description

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and testing of high-density power shelves, rack-mounted power systems, and solid-state transformers • Support advanced energy storage solutions using lithium-ion and sodium-ion chemistries for BBUs and critical power infrastructure • Ensure designs meet NEC/NFPA, IEEE, and UL/IEC safety and certification requirements • Participate in customer engagements and site visits to understand deployment constraints and gather design feedback • Translate power electronics designs into manufacturable products with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams • Lead training, process development, production readiness reviews, and factory enablement for transition to high-volume production • Perform FMEA and root-cause investigations for electrical defects and field issues • Develop, update, and interpret electrical one-line diagrams for rack-level power architectures • Maintain BOMs, specifications, test plans, and engineering change orders • Assess technical requirements and competencies during RFP/RFQ quoting stages and oversee product development lifecycles • Mentor and lead others while collaborating with cross-functional teams, customers, and global vendors

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field is required • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in electrical systems integration, power electronics, energy systems, or related fields • 3+ years designing and developing power electronic systems focused on AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC conversion technologies • Strong understanding of thermal management, magnetics design, EMI/EMC compliance, safety standards, and product reliability requirements • Proficiency with AutoCAD, PSIM, MATLAB, LTspice, or similar electrical tools and simulations • Experience writing and updating work instructions, assembly diagrams, test plans, and electrical schematics based on hands-on build results • Strong understanding of 19-inch and 21-inch (ORv3) rack architectures and power distribution systems for AI and data center environments • Hands-on experience with hi-pot, ground-bond, leakage-current, and continuity electrical safety tests • Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written • Technical leadership capabilities; ability to work independently with minimal oversight • Ability to assess projects, articulate risks, and develop project milestones • Familiarity with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management (PLCM) • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% • Experience supporting product commercialization and customer engagements • Experience designing electrical power systems for data centers, telecom, or industrial power/cooling products • Knowledge of +/-400V and 800V DC strategies for data center customers • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred • Hands-on prototype fabrication and testing experience preferred; global supplier and contract manufacturer experience a plus
