📋 Description

• Clarify how Chapter 194, F.S. and DOR uniform rules 12D-9 and 12D-10 operate in practice • Explain county-level differences among Florida Property Appraiser offices and VABs, including Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Hillsborough, Orange, Duval, Pinellas, and Lee • Guide filing mechanics including TRIM notice timing, the 25-day filing window, DR-486 and variants, e-filing versus paper, and the §194.014 partial-payment requirement • Help design a hearings-and-evidence flow involving comparable selection, 15-day and 7-day evidence exchange windows, and condition-based arguments • Review the product being built and pressure-test customer flows, backend authorization flows, and filing logic • Flag processes that will not survive contact with the Florida VAB system and correct issues before production • Advise Jerry’s early-stage property-tax-appeals product on regulatory and procedural accuracy

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of direct, hands-on Florida experience filing residential property tax appeals • Personal experience filing or arguing petitions before a Florida Value Adjustment Board, or adjudicating them as a special magistrate • Experience across hundreds of parcels and familiarity with edge cases • Comprehensive knowledge of every step of the Florida property tax appeals process • Ability to explain county-level differences, including Broward versus Hillsborough • No active conflict: must not currently advise another company building consumer property tax appeal software • Florida-based strongly preferred • Availability for roughly 5–10 hours per week of hourly, as-needed consulting by phone or video • Ability to work as an independent contractor • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. or Canada • Direct experience with Florida’s property tax appeal system
