📋 Description

• Process internal, incoming, and external referrals for all ambulatory services • Obtain prior authorizations • Schedule patients • Handle inbound and outbound phone calls • Engage patients regarding copayment, prepayment, and outstanding balance responsibilities • Participate in the point-of-service collection process • Ensure referral policies and workflows are followed • Prioritize referrals by urgency • Send complete demographic, insurance, and appropriate clinical information to referred specialists • Review referral details with ordering providers and patients

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required • 2 years of medical referrals, healthcare, and/or prior authorization experience required • Ability to follow current and standardized referral policies and workflows • Ability to prioritize referrals by urgency and address them in a timely manner • Ability to handle complete demographic, insurance, and relevant clinical information • Ability to contact insurance companies and meet prior approval requirements • Ability to present medical information to insurance companies to establish medical necessity • Ability to review referral details and expectations with ordering providers and patients • Travel is required: Never or Rarely
