📋 Description

• Process internal, incoming, and external referrals for all ambulatory services • Obtain prior authorizations • Schedule patients • Handle inbound and outbound phone calls • Engage patients regarding copayment, prepayment, and outstanding balance responsibilities • Engage in the point-of-service collection process • Follow and regularly utilize current standardized referral policies and workflows • Prioritize referrals by urgency and address them in a timely manner • Ensure complete demographic, insurance, and relevant clinical information is sent to referred specialists • Contact insurance companies to ensure prior approval requirements are met • Present medical history, diagnosis, and prognosis to insurance companies when necessary to establish medical necessity • Review referral details and expectations with ordering providers and patients

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED • 2 years of experience in medical referrals, healthcare, and/or prior authorization • Travel is required: Never or Rarely
