📋 Description

• Abstract data from multiple resources for medical billing and statistical purposes • Collaborate with regional clinical leadership regarding changes in clinical practice • Identify and monitor opportunities for service performance improvement • Inform clinical staff of documentation deficiencies and provide coaching • Review medical record documentation and assign diagnoses and procedure codes • Identify and resolve coding and billing issues and develop process improvement projects • Provide billing and coding education to departments • Serve as a coding resource for CBO, HIM, and departments to ensure coding and billing compliance

🎯 Requirements

• Required Associate's Degree in Health Information Management • 3 years of coding experience required • RHIT certification required OR CCS certification required OR CPC certification • Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management preferred • 5 years of coding experience preferred • RHIA certification preferred • Travel is required never or rarely
