📋 Description

• Provide direct consultative care to members with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions through synchronous and asynchronous visits • Deliver clinical guidance on autoimmune disease management in coordination with members’ existing rheumatologists and/or PCPs • Serve as a clinical touchpoint for complex or higher-acuity member needs • Build staffing models, clinical workflows, and supervision structures for a growing clinical team • Develop and implement training for physicians, APPs, and other care team members • Supervise APPs and physicians in accordance with applicable state requirements • Recruit, hire, and onboard additional clinicians, including rheumatologists • Transition direct-care responsibilities to the growing team while maintaining clinical quality oversight • Serve as supervising physician of record for the Autoimmune Program • Develop, review, and maintain clinical protocols and escalation criteria • Review and provide guidance on complex or ambiguous cases • Ensure alignment with current rheumatology standards of care • Partner with clinical leadership, product, and operations teams to improve the autoimmune program • Monitor clinical quality metrics and member outcomes • Support development of member-facing and internal educational content • Provide clinical support to client success and commercial teams • Ensure compliance with scope-of-practice, telehealth, and licensure requirements across states served • Maintain boundaries with members’ existing rheumatology and PCP relationships • Participate in chart review, quality assurance, and risk management processes

🎯 Requirements

• MD or DO • Active, unrestricted medical license(s) • Board certification in Rheumatology (ABIM) • Significant clinical experience managing patients with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions • Experience supervising or collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams, including nursing, coaching, and nutrition • Strong understanding of virtual/telehealth care delivery models • Comfort with innovative care delivery models, including use of AI • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to translate clinical protocols into clear, actionable guidance for non-physician team members • Prior medical director, supervising physician, or clinical leadership experience preferred • Experience with digital health, remote patient monitoring, or chronic condition management programs preferred • Multi-state licensure or willingness to obtain additional state licenses preferred
