📋 Description

• Lead design across 9amHealth’s member app from discovery through interaction and visual design, implementation, and iteration • Design onboarding, care tasks, habit-building experiences, and re-engagement flows • Define success metrics, instrument key interactions, and evaluate activation, funnel conversion, task completion, retention, and sustained engagement • Build code-based prototypes and use AI-assisted tools to test behavior and explore ideas • Conduct member research, test assumptions, and identify experience barriers • Evolve accessible design-system components and interaction patterns with designers and engineers • Collaborate with clinicians, coaches, and care coordinators to reduce avoidable Care Team work • Balance member needs, clinical considerations, operational capacity, and business goals • Document design decisions and report to the Head of Design • Work day-to-day with a product manager, front-end and back-end engineers, QA, and other product designers

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leading design for a consumer product or substantial product area from an ambiguous problem to a shipped outcome • Strong interaction design, visual hierarchy, content, and product-detail skills • Product judgment and ability to explain design choices, critique work, respond to feedback, and change direction based on evidence • Ability to use quantitative data and research to evaluate product performance • Understanding of behavior-change design, motivation, progress, setbacks, and habit formation • User research skills, including selecting methods, asking useful questions, and applying findings • Fluency with Figma, code-based prototyping, and AI-assisted tools such as Cursor or Claude • Practical understanding of accessibility for users with different abilities, health literacy, and technology confidence • Initiative and clear written and verbal communication • Ability to work Eastern Time hours • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship; applicants are asked whether they will require future sponsorship
