📋 Description

• Develop AI-enabled applications, tools, and workflow automation using LLMs, APIs, RAG, agentic AI, MCP, and related technologies • Build and test prototypes/MVPs, then scale successful ones into secure, production-ready applications • Provide day-to-day leadership for JSI's GIS technology, data, and workflows • Identify opportunities to automate GIS/broadband engineering processes • Support the CTO in shaping technology strategy into executable product initiatives, including roadmaps and business cases • Coordinate cross-functional teams of developers, GIS professionals, engineers, consultants, and external technology partners/vendors • Ensure applications are well-architected, secure, documented, and supportable

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, GIS, data science, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 3+ years of experience in software development, GIS, product development, or related technical disciplines • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions • Working knowledge of APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and modern application architecture • Experience with GIS platforms, geospatial data, or spatial analysis • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills • Preferred: Experience with AI-assisted development, LLMs, generative AI, RAG, or AI agents • Preferred: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, or SQL • Preferred: Experience with Esri, ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS, or similar • Preferred: Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud; Git/CI/CD practices • Preferred: Background in telecommunications, broadband, or fiber network infrastructure • Preferred: Product/project management experience taking concepts from MVP to production
