📋 Description

• Deliver properly formatted, final versions of policies, procedures, and other governance work products • Coordinate work products with applicable stakeholders • Ensure timelines and deliverables are maintained • Obtain management approval of all final work products • Provide guidance to career and non-career staff regarding drafting policies and procedures • Assist with other communications and governance work products as needed • Review and edit standard operating procedures, policies, and other written instructions • Correct errors in grammar, syntax, spelling, punctuation, and other elements of the English language • Analyze written content to ensure messaging is coherent and cohesive • Conduct research to verify factual claims • Identify and correct basic page layout and typography errors, or instruct graphics personnel to do so • Support preparation of final products

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’ Degree from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of three years of work experience demonstrating the ability to organize information and communicate effectively • Significant demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of the education requirement • Experience supporting law enforcement and/or experience in legal drafting is desired • Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Favorable credit check for all cleared positions • Successfully passing a background investigation including drug screening • Residency requirement: three consecutive years in the last five years • Advanced knowledge of grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation • Ability to ensure written products are correct, clear, concise, and compliant with established style guides • Ability to analyze written content at paragraph, page, and chapter levels • Proficiency conducting research on the internet, in public databases, and through queries with subject matter experts • Knowledge of basic page layout and typography • Ability to work with and without direct supervision • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including Track Changes • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, including Comment tools • Ability to write, type, and use a telephone system • Ability to attend meetings and work while sitting for prolonged periods
