📋 Description

• Own Kaizen's events strategy end-to-end, including the annual calendar anchored to the federal buying year • Evaluate conferences and sponsorships, negotiate sponsorship levels and booth placement, and decide where Kaizen participates • Own booth design, demo staging, collateral, swag, vendors, and production partners • Run the field motion alongside sales, including account targeting, pre-event outreach, meeting scheduling, travel, staffing, and follow-up • Own executive dinners, agency roundtables, and closed-door briefings around major shows • Secure leadership speaker placements, panel submissions, and awards, with photo, video, and customer-story capture • Scope and build Kaizen-hosted summits, dinner series, or recurring briefings • Own event budget management and reporting tied to pipeline, qualified meetings, and cost per meeting • Navigate federal, state, and local gift and hospitality ethics rules with Legal

🎯 Requirements

• 5–15 years in events, experiential marketing, or field marketing • Direct ownership of event strategy and budget • Demonstrated experience owning a conference circuit, sponsorships, booth builds, and event operations • Knowledge of the federal conference landscape, or ability to learn it quickly • Experience running events for federal or public sector buyers is a significant advantage • Experience building an events program from part-time or fractional coverage • Experience partnering with sales on targeting and follow-up, measured against pipeline • Experience producing owned events such as dinners, roundtables, and summits • Excellent written and verbal communication • Comfortable drafting invitations, event briefs, run-of-show documents, and executive preparation materials • Sound judgment under time pressure and public visibility • Comfortable with operational details including shipping, badge scans, AV, staffing, and seating plans • Credibility with senior government audiences • Ability to manage vendors, agencies, and production partners • High autonomy in ambiguous, fast-moving environments • Familiarity with AI tools and using them in daily workflows • Emotional intelligence, thoughtfulness, and empathy toward public-sector missions
