📋 Description

• Build and maintain the infrastructure underlying Kalshi Trading’s trading operations • Develop backend systems for Kalshi Trading, an affiliated trading entity operating across categories on Kalshi • Shape the role and Kalshi Trading’s activities as the company grows • Take ownership of greenfield initiatives and influence the development of next-generation financial markets

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a backend engineer • Experience directly building trading systems including order management • Experience building robust high performance event-driven systems and APIs • Experience writing concurrent code • Very comfortable with relational databases (e.g. Postgres) • Familiarity with the AWS stack, especially RDS and ECS • Proficiency in one of: Golang, Rust, C++ • Familiarity with stream processing (Kafka) (potential/ideal) • Familiarity with frontend development (potential/ideal) • Familiarity with machine learning, neural networks, or generative AI including LLMs (potential/ideal) • Experience trading on Kalshi or other prediction markets (potential/ideal)
