• Lead projects implementing Kenco’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) across network sites from functional and technical perspectives • Coordinate project activities across design, implementation planning and execution, kickoff meetings, requirements gathering, analysis, build, testing and launch • Liaise with vendors, customers, internal stakeholders and third-party service/product providers • Develop and maintain product documentation and training materials • Troubleshoot issues and provide Level 3 production support • Write business requirements for WMS/LMS/WCS configuration, customizations and integrations • Develop documented WMS, LMS or WCS customizations • Launch projects on time and predict delays related to accessory development • Lead client consulting engagements, defining project scope, goals and deliverables • Develop communication plans and provide project status reporting • Manage project risks and mitigation planning • Define project success criteria and communicate them throughout the project lifecycle • Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations reports • Prepare project closure artifacts and oversee turnover to production support • Assist management in defining project management best practices • Recommend post-launch budget changes • Control costs, invoicing and budget reconciliation • Track departmental activity and report status to management and related departments • Follow data maps and functional and technical processes; design test plans • Mentor junior project resources
• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science or a related field required • Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in project management and implementation launching WMS and/or LMS • Proficiency in SQL required • Experience integrating WMS systems with ERP systems (SAP for example) required • Experience with WCS (Warehouse Control Systems) a plus • Knowledge of distribution center/logistics concepts and warehousing terminology • Ability to read and visualize “to be” models based on experience • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without affecting deadline commitments • Strong business planning and analytical skills, including market intelligence, metrics, financial analysis and business model development • Approximately 25%–50% travel • Passport not required, but recommended
